Reconnect: Restore: Revive:

Couples Therapy

Where is your struggle right now? Is it a loss of connection, passion, or stress? Maybe you have increasing arguments, or don’t know how to communicate your needs, either spoken or unspoken.

Relationships are one of the most significant and, at times, difficult parts of our human journey. As a marriage and family therapist, with thousands of hours working with couples and families, I am dedicated to helping couples to help “reconnect, restore, and revive” what was lost somewhere along their journey. I have found in my work with couples that it is never just “one thing “that caused the interruption in your relationship; it is often a domino effect, and my job is to see where it started to be harder to be in the relationship and help to restore what you once had.

I understand that trusting another person with your love story is a delicate decision and can be intimidating and hard to do. My credentials bring specialized training in a variety of relationship dynamics to every stage of partnership—from premarital counseling that builds strong foundations, to tune-ups that increase satisfaction and intimacy, to intensive work for couples in serious distress seeking relief and understanding that only a trained professional can provide.

I will view the concerns in the context of the entire relationship system, assessing patterns of communication, emotional needs, family-of-origin influences, and external stressors to identify where the system is stuck and what is needed to restore connection.

Using emotionally focused therapy as a foundation, I will tailor treatment specific to you and your partner and work to understand your unique strengths and challenges. I will help partners develop a clearer understanding of each other, rebuild trust if that is a need, and learn practical skills for conflict resolution and emotional attunement, to bring couples closer and reconnect them back to one another.
